Measure the length, width and depth of the pond with a tape measure.

Determine the length of the pond liner to be purchased by using the following formula: Length + (2 x depth) + 2 (overlap) = length of pond liner. For example, if the length of the pond is 10 feet and the depth is 2 feet, the length would be determined by adding 10 + (2 x 2) + 2= 16. The length is 16 feet.

Determine the width of the pond liner to be purchased by using the following formula: Width + (2 x depth) + 2 (overlap) = width of pond liner. For example, if the width of the pond is 4 feet and the depth is 2 feet, the width would be determined by adding 4 + (2 x 2) + 2= 10. The width is 10 feet.
