A female spider usually carries her eggs on her back. At times, she may place the spider sack in a quiet and hidden area for protection until the sack breaks. When the eggs hatch, hundreds of baby spiders will appear. This can cause a large infestation in your home or garden. Even though spiders control other bugs populations, a large amount of spiders can become dangerous and annoying. Check your home often for spiders and the eggs. Clean spider sacks off house siding as soon as possible.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Inspect the house siding. Look for any loose boards or material. Also, examine any areas where spider webs are ample.

  2. Step 2

Place the ladder on the side of the house where the main spider sacks are located. Have a second person hold the ladder steady. Make sure the hand vacuum has a full charge before climbing the ladder.

  3. Step 3

Vacuum the webs and sacks off the house siding. Clean the entire area thoroughly. Empty the vacuum in a garbage can or sack away from the home when the vacuum is three-quarters full. Several trips up the ladder may be necessary.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wear gloves to protect your hands from spider bites. If a spider is near, protecting her eggs is a priority.
  • Do not break the sacks open. The spider sacks contain hundreds of baby spiders. Breaking the egg open with a broom or other device can release the eggs.
  • Poison can harm your garden and other animals near your home. Also, poison does not remove the spider sacks.
