Things You'll Need:
- Hair color bowl
- Hair color brush
- Hair shampoo
- Latex gloves
- Hair powder bleach
- Water
- Towel
- Purple hair dye

Step 1
Wet hair completely.

Use a hair color bowl and hair color brush to mix 2 tablespoons of shampoo and 1 tablespoon of hair powder bleach.

Place latex gloves on your hands and use your covered hands and the hair color brush to apply the mixture throughout your hair.

Massage it throughout your hair so that you cover your entire head.

Stand in front of a mirror while your work the mixture throughout your hair. You will see the natural pigment being removed from the hair. Stripping the hair of some of its current hair color will produce a more vibrant purple and allow the purple to stay on the hair longer.

Rinse the hair thoroughly once you have lightened the hair to a light blonde color. If the hair is not lightened to this point after a half hour, you may need to rinse and reapply the mixture.

Towel dry the hair to remove excess moisture.

Cover all clothing, skin, floor and chairs with towels as the purple hair dye will stain anything that it touches.

Apply new latex gloves.

Pour the purple hair dye into a hair color bowl (different than the first one).

Use the end of the hair color brush to separate half inch sections of hair and then paint the purple hair dye onto each section.

Allow the color to sit on the hair for approximately 15 minutes to allow the hair to absorb the purple hair dye.

Rinse thoroughly and condition. Do not wash the hair. You should wait 24 hours before washing hair when it is dyed purple or any wild color.
