Open your Internet browser and navigate to Altysoft.com, home of the Altysoft Free Video Converter. Download the software installer to your desktop.

Open the installer and follow the instructions to install Free Video Converter. Open the program from your start menu.

In the main window, click the "add video" button at the top left of the screen. Navigate to the video you wish to convert and click "Add."

To the right of the video selection menu, you will see a button titled "Change Video Format." Click the button and select MP4. Any video converted in this session will be converted to MP4 format.

Below the video selection menu, select a destination folder for the converted videos. Click the "Convert" button. The program make take quite awhile to convert the video files, depending on their length and size.
