Things You'll Need:
- Time Warner DVR Box
- A reason to reboot the DVR
-
Step 1
First in order to reboot a DVR it must stay plugged in while you do this. I know this may seem like common sense but believe me it is not. So make sure the unit is plugged in while you reboot it.
-
Step 2
Hold down the power button on the DVR box until you see that it shuts down the clock on the DVR. Do not unplug the unit at anytime while completing this reboot. This starts the rebooting process for the DVR.
-
Step 3
Wait until the DVR turns back on itself and allow it to do whatever it needs to. You will see several screens throughout the reboot process however this is normal.
-
Step 4
Once complete this reboot should help stop any problems you were currently having with the DVR. If not try to reboot again and if that still does not help the problem than contact customer support at Time Warner.
