Host a Chinese Checker Games Fundraiser
Host a Chinese Checker Games Fundraiser

Chinese checker is a very old board game played between two to six people. This is a game of strategy that places one challenger against the other. The winner has to place all of his/her ten pieces into the opponent’s side of the board (territory). Chinese Checker can be used as a fund raising tool to attract young and older fundraisers or players for a cause. A fee can be paid by each player to be donated to a charity or cause. Use these steps to help you host Chinese checker games for fund raising.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Identify the charity or cause for donation of the Chinese checker game funds. Set up a goal of how much money you’ll like to raise for this charity.

  2. Step 2

Learn the rules for playing Chinese checker. All Chinese checker games come with very simple instructions to follow. The host of the fundraiser should learn these rules and observe the games as they are played.

  3. Step 3

Identify the players to be invited to play at the fund raising. Each Chinese checker board game can be played by up to six people. Purchase as many games as needed for the fundraiser or ask players to bring their board games.

  4. Step 4

Spell out the rules of the Chinese checker fundraiser event. Consider writing flyer invitations with the event time, event place, fees, description of the charity you are raising money for including their contact information.

  5. Step 5

Set a fee – determine how much money each player will pay to play Chinese checker. Make this an affordable and nominal amount so that more players can afford to participate.

  6. Step 6

Search for fund raising sponsors for young players. If you want children to play for the charity it’s likely they won’t have the fee. Finding adults who can sponsor the kids and pay their fees can help to attract younger players.

  7. Step 7

Collect the fees from each Chinese checker player and inform everyone how much money was collected and how much will be send to the charity.

  8. Step 8

Hold your event. Make sure players follow the Chinese checker and fund raising rules. If you had a successful first time fundraiser, consider doing a few more to reach your desired fund raising goals.

  9. Step 9

Submit the Chinese checker game funds to the charity. Send a letter to the charity with the names of all who played and contributed to the cause. Make copies of the check and have it available for players/contributors inspection. You can also ask the charity to send a receipt or acknowledgment of the money sent.
