Step 1
Starting a web site or web page without understanding how search engines work is a mistake if you are trying to get it ranked high in search results. You need to understand that search engines look for good original content .Proper punctuation and no spelling errors. You should not copy and paste content from other sites. Duplicate content is frowned upon especially by Google and it will most likely place your site in the sand box. Search engines can detect duplicate content and may keep you from being listed at all.

Step 2
Your keywords on the page should be used sparingly and should match the title of the page. If you put to many keywords on the page you could be penalized for key word stuffing. Search engines will also consider this spam and not rank your page or site. You should not repeat the same words over and over again (stacking) but use variations of the word. Putting words in the meta tags that have nothing to do with the site should not be done. This is also considered spam and has nothing to do with web site pages theme. This could have your site totally removed from searches.

Step 3
Trying to hide your text by making it the same color as the page will not work. Search engines are color blind so trying to hide text or make it so small you can't read it will fail every time. It is better to learn what Google, Bing and Yahoo like on a web page instead of trying to fool them. You should not use free hosting sites if you want higher ranking in search results. Make sure you check your pages for mistakes and broken links forgetting to do so will only lower your rankings. Trying to use link farms is also something to avoid. If you are linking to another site it should have relevant information to your web site or page. Search engine optimization is something you have to work at properly if you want higher rankings in search results.
