Step 1
First lets start with a couple of helpful hints whilst you shave to prevent Razor Burn. Razor Burn results from ingrown hairs, and you get more ingrowns hairs if you shave against the grain. This you shalt not do, even if you get a really close shave it isn't worth the resulting burn. Also nice clean blades that are sharp work best. Get a nice sharp blade and shave then after you are done clean with alcohol and wipe the razor blade with a towel. A good thing to purchase is a badger brush to brush on the shaving cream, this gets the cream all the way around the hair. Finally you will want to shave when your hair is softest, right after a shower.

Step 2
Ok onto soothing Razor Burn. Now you have shaved and you can feel your face starting to redden (or other areas). This is where you take some cold water and splash it onto your skin. This cold water will help to close the pores and prevent the hairs from becoming ingrown.

Step 3
The next step in soothing Razor Burn is to moisturize your face. Do this after you have shaved but before your skin is entirely dry. This will help to lock the water into your skin and keep the Razor Burn rash away.
-
Step 4
If despite your best efforts you have developed Razor Burn then your next step is to acquire some Aloe Vera. Take the Aloe Vera lotion and rub it onto the rash of the Razor Burn and this should start the healing process.

Step 5
For particularly stubborn Razor Burn rashes take a facial wash of water and oatmeal mixed together. This like the Aloe Vera will help to soothe the Razor Burn and keep it from getting out of hand and having more infected ingrown hairs.
