I am going to teach you how to make scalloped potatoes with bacon. Potatoes are great for a side dish for any meat or fish meal. Potatoes are one of the most nutritious foods.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 large potatoes
  • milk
  • flour
  • butter
  • cheese
  • parsley
  • bacon
  1. Step 1

First preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Now you will want to wash all of the potatoes. Peel the potatoes if you would like. Slice the potatoes in thin slices.

  2. Step 2

In a nine inch baking dish layer half of the sliced potatoes. Dont just throw them in the pan make sure they are layered for best results.

  3. Step 3

In a small mixing bowl you will want to add two tablespoons of flour and one cup of milk. Mix thoroughly until all of the flour lumps are gone. Pour half of the mixture on the potatoes then dab some butter all over the potatoes then layer the rest of the potatoes and then add the rest of the mixture. Dab some more butter on top. Add some salt, pepper and parsley. Put in the oven for about thirty five to forty minutes or until golden brown.

  4. Step 4

While the potatoes are cooking go ahead and fry your bacon until the bacon is crispy. Break the bacon in bite size pieces and put of to the side. Grate your cheese. You can use any kind of cheese that you like. When the potatoes are almost done sprinkle the cheese and bacon all over the top. When the cheese is melted take the potatoes out of the oven. Serve with your choice of meat.
