Turn the common scrambled egg into a gourmet breakfast by adding an unexpected herb. Serve your eggs with a variety of condiments and you'll make breakfast not only the most important meal of the day but also the most enjoyable!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • eggs
  • French tarragon
  • milk
  1. Step 1

Start by using large, fresh organic eggs. These don't have to be straight off the farm but they should be well away from the expiration date. Organic eggs also tend to have a better color to their yolk.

  2. Step 2

Break the eggs into a bowl and add a couple of tablespoons of milk. The exact amount will depend on the number of eggs and can be estimated. Use a whisk to blend the eggs together.

  3. Step 3

Add 1/4 teaspoon of French tarragon to the scrambled egg mixture. This is what gives these scrambled eggs a gourmet flavor. Tarragon is an herb commonly used in egg and fish dishes as well as sauces.

  4. Step 4

Pour the eggs into a skillet on a medium heat source. The skillet should be non-stick or use butter in the pan to avoid having the eggs stick. Use a spatula to constantly scramble the eggs in the pan to avoid over-cooking. Once eggs are at the desired consistency, remove from heat and place in serving dish.

  5. Step 5

Serve your gourmet scrambled eggs with a variety of condiments such as salsa, tobasco sauce or ketchup. They can also be garnished with a fresh slice of orange for the gourmet look on the plate.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add cheese to the egg mixture for a different taste.
  • Over cooking eggs can make them taste rubbery.
