Making a balloon dog
-
1
Use your pump to blow up a 260 balloon (the elongated type of balloon used for twisting and sculpting), leaving approximately six inches uninflated at the end. The uninflated space gives the air somewhere to go when you begin twisting the balloon.
-
2
In order to make a dog's nose, hold both sides of the balloon at the tied-off end. Take about three finger lengths of balloon, and twist.
-
-
3
Keep hold of the first twist and make two more twists to form the dog's ears. Take the last twist you made and bend it back into the first twist. Then take the two parts and twist them together.
-
4
Make another twist for the neck measuring about three to four finger lengths. Then make two more twists of the same three to four finger lengths for the front legs.
-
5
Twist off a section, then make two more twists for the rear legs. You have completed your balloon dog.
Making a balloon swan
-
6
Make a balloon swan using some of the techniques you used in making a balloon dog, according to the website Coolest Kid Birthday Parties. Inflate a white 260 balloon, leaving four inches uninflated at its tail.
-
7
Bend the balloon into a circle and line both parts up---in sections that measure about six inches long---to form the tail and waist. This will form two loops.
-
8
To make the swan's head, fold the uninflated part of the balloon back along the body. Keep the end gripped in your hand and squeeze the air around the bend to form the head. Then tuck the head between the center of the loops.

Tips & Warnings
Uninflated balloons can easily choke a small child---and your pet---so keep them out of reach of both.
