Instructions

    • 1

Select two trees that are the appropriate distance apart from each other. If they are too far apart, the hammock will become too tight and unstable when used. If they are too close together, the hammock will be too loose.

    • 2

Attach the support system, using either tree straps or large circle hooks, to your tree. Hammocks usually come with one or the other, so if you need one that does not ocome with your kit, you will need to buy the extra materials. Tree hooks need nly be screwed into the trees. The tree strap works like a belt for pants. Adjust it so it is tight enough to stay on the tree without sliding down the tree, but not too tight that it will harm the tree. Use a wrench to tighten the support system.

Attach the hammock to your support system by hooking the hammock chains or their end hooks to the tree strap or circle hooks. Test the hammock by putting some of your weight onto it. If it holds up, congratulations -- you now have a new place to relax on a lazy summer day. If it does not, do not worry as you will merely need to bring the the hammock attachment higher on the tree until you are off the ground enough when all of your weight is resting on the hammock.

Tips & Warnings

  • The hammock attachment should be 5 to 8 feet up the tree.

  • Do not jump on the hammock as it is not made for rough play.

  • Do not use your hammock if its chains are twisted as the strength of the hammock will be lessened. Untwist the chains before sitting on it.
