How to Convert RCA Type Audio Video to 1394

Purchase an RCA to DV converter. Some examples are in the resources below. Generally the cost of these models ranges between $100 and $200. Some of them have more features than others, such as component video in and out and built-in software interfaces. How much you want to spend is up to you and can vary according to your needs.

Ready your RCA source. This could either be an older model camcorder or a video cassette deck. Plug your RCA cables into the device's "Video Out" and "Audio Out" jacks. The video jack should be colored yellow and the audio (mono) jack is colored white. If you have a stereo RCA source, the red jack is the second audio channel.
