How to Plant Tiger Lily Seeds
Instead of growing from seeds like most flowers, tiger lilies grow from bulbs, according to theflowerexpert.com. Each bulb produces more than a dozen flowers, if planted properly. Tiger lilies grow up to four feet tall, and the flowers range in color from orange to yellow. These lilies are hardy and can be grown almost anywhere.

2
Dig up an area of dirt. Rake in a pound of compost..

3
Dig holes one foot deep, three or four inches apart, into the ground. The soil should have a pH level between three and nine.
-
4
Plant one bulb in each hole. Shovel soil over the bulb and water. If planting before the frost, add a layer of wood chips or mulch to the top of the dirt to protect the bulbs and retain water. Remove the mulch after the frost.

5
Water weekly. When the bulb sprouts, add a thin layer of compost to the soil. Trim off any dying flowers. Do not let the stem get too short or the plant won't produce many flowers.
