How to Load an External Zip Drive
Zip drives were first introduced by Iomega, and are used to backup and store information on your computer. Zip drives are also useful because they help clear up space on your computer's hard drive. Because of their size and usability, Zip drives have been a popular choice to back up a computer's information. Although floppy disc and Zip drives are not as common as they once were, the loading procedures remain generally the same for an external Zip drive.

Wait for your computer to automatically install the drivers and updates for the Zip drive. Insert the installation disk if the computer does not detect a new device.
