How to Make Crunchy Fried Chicken
In America, almost everyone loves fried chicken. With restaurants like KFC, Church's Chicken and Popeye's, chicken lovers can find a great piece of fried chicken anywhere. To stay economical but still get a flavor-filled piece of fried chicken, you can cook your chicken in the convenience of your home. Things You'll Need
- 5 pieces of chicken, with bone
- 1 bag of self rising flour
- 1 bag garlic croutons
- 8 oz. bottle of vegetable oil
- Salt
- pepper
- 1 metal spoon
- Large mixing bowl
- Large skillet
- Stove top
- Paper towels

Wash the chicken with warm water. Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.

Smash up the croutons into small pieces. This is done simply by crushing them while they are in their original bag. The pieces should be small enough so that they adhere to the chicken as a crunchy coating.

Pour about ½ of the bag of self rising flour into the large mixing bowl with the croutons. Put all the chicken pieces inside of the bowl, covering the chicken the entire chicken pieces with the mix.

Put ½ cup of vegetable oil into the large skillet. Let it get hot on medium-high heat.

Place the chicken pieces in the skillet. Use tongs to turn the chicken over as the chicken fries and browns.

Take the chicken out and place it on paper towels. Let it cool and serve.

Tips & Warnings
Fried chicken is good with hot sauce, macaroni and cheese, corn, bread and other sides.
Other crunchy alternatives are crackers or even corn flakes.
For a glaze effect, add some of the crunched croutons to a bowl of honey and spread it over the chicken.
