Instructions

  1. Cleaning

    • 1

Remove broiler pan inserts, broiler pans, utensils, searing grill and any aluminum foil, as they do not withstand the high temperature of the self-cleaning cycle. Remove oven racks also.

    • 2

Clean excess spills with soapy water and a washcloth, being careful not to remove, rub or damage the woven oven-door gasket. Heavy smoke or even fire can result if heavy spills are left in the oven. Also clean the oven frame and door liner, as soil in these areas can become burnt on.

    • 3

Start the cleaning cycle. Refer to your oven manual for display functions of your particular model. On the 970 models, you will press the CLEAN button, choose two, three or four hours, and then press START. The door will lock automatically. Some models will also allow you to set a delayed cleaning time.

    • 4

Wait at least one hour after the cleaning is completed before opening the oven door. If you need to cancel a cleaning cycle due to excess smoke, press the CANCEL button and again, wait one hour before opening the door.

    • 5

Wipe out any ash left behind on the oven sides or bottom with clean soapy water.
