      Lift the handle on top of the water tank and remove the tank from the device. Raise the latch on the back of the water tank and remove the top. Align the opening in the water tank with the tap of a sink or bathtub. Fill the water tank with hot water. Replace the top of the tank and lower the latch to secure the top in place. Use the handle to carry the tank back to the device. Replace the tank in the device and lower the handle.

      Grip the formula tank, located on the back of the device, and lift it out. Unscrew the cap on the formula tank. Pour enough cleaning formula into the tank to reach the indicator line. Replace the cap and screw it firmly into place. Reinsert the tank into the device.

      Set the cleaning dial, located on the handle or behind the water tank, to the setting that best corresponds to the level of cleaning your floor requires. The leftmost setting is for the lightest level of cleaning. Cleaning intensity increases as you move the dial to the right. Set the dial on top of the water tank to the "Floor Cleaning" position.

      Plug the device into a grounded electrical outlet near the location you wish to clean. Set the power and heater switches on the top of the device to the "ON" position and wait about one minute before proceeding.

      Hold down the trigger on the device's handle and move the device in slow, steady strokes back and forth over the area you wish to clean. Release the trigger and continue to move the device back and forth. Repeat this process of passing over the area with the device's trigger held, then released, until the water you see being pulled up into the device appears clear.

      Turn off the device and remove the water tank from the device as before. Carry the tank to a sink and remove the top of the tank. Pour the dirty water out of the tank through the opening in the corner of the tank. Fill the tank with more hot water if you wish to continue cleaning. Replace the tank in the device. You may now turn the device back on if you wish to continue cleaning or return it to a storage location.
