Boil a large pot of water, lightly salted. Add a tablespoon of olive oil or vegetable oil. This will help to keep the noodles from sticking together.

Place the lasagna noodles in the boiling water and cook until just tender. Be careful not to overcook. They should still be slightly firm so they do not overcook while in the oven. Stir the noodles frequently as they cook to keep them from clumping together in the boiling pot.

Drain the noodles and rinse with cool water. The rinsing process will remove any residual starch and stop the cooking process.
