How to Clean an Old Stained Stone Tile Floor With Vinegar
Old stained stone tile floor can accumulate dirt and build-up. Although there are plenty of commercial chemical cleaning agents, there is a more environmentally friendly and health-safe alternative. Use a vinegar solution with your regular cleaning supplies to thoroughly clean most stone tile flooring. Your floors will be spotless and you will have done the environment and your body a favor. Remove all dirt and debris from the floor with the broom and dustpan to prevent scratching during the cleaning phase.

Dilute 1 cup of white vinegar in one gallon of hot water.

Use a mop soaked in the vinegar solution to wash the tile floor. Use an old toothbrush or soft bristled brush to scrub dirty grout in between the tiles.

Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of baking soda on scuff marks and wipe them with a sponge soaked in the vinegar solution.

Rinse your mop with fresh hot water and mop over the entire floor to remove any vinegar residue.
