Simple Craft Ink

Simple craft ink can be used with stamping, painting, paper coloring, or any number of do it yourself crafts.
All you need are a few simple ingredients from your kitchen to get started.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Start by filling a small glass jar half full of rubbing alcohol. For the glass jar, I use a small jelly jar that is about ½ pint in size.

  2. Step 2

Add 1 teaspoon Food Color Paste. This comes in a jar often times under the brand named of Wilton. And can be located in the craft section of most retail stores near the wedding cake supplies.

  3. Step 3

    Close jar securely with lid.

  4. Step 4

Shake vinegar and food color paste vigorously for around 1 minute.

  5. Step 5

Allow ink to rest for 10 minutes.

  6. Step 6

Shake again to make certain that all food color paste has dissolved.

  7. Step 7

Your ink is ready to use. Before I use it I usually allow it to breath for about 20 minutes to take away the strong scent of the rubbing alcohol.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use in a well ventilated area.
  • Do not use around open flames and avoid extreme heat.
  • Not intended for children.
  • Ink will stain surfaces so use caution to avoid spilling
