How to Easily Freeze Soup

Homemade soup can be a delicious and nutritious meal for your family. And when you make soup you can also easily freeze the leftovers to have for a quick meal in the future. If you are worried about not having freezer space there is an easy way to freeze soups without taking up much room. This will allow you to save money and time by having a quick healthy meal available for your family.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Gallon size freezer bag
• Soup
• Cookie Sheet
• Pen

1. You will need to allow the soup to cool before freezing it. It should be at least room temperature.

2. While the soup is cooling take a pen and write on the outside of a gallon sized ziploc freezer bag. Write what type of soup it is and the date that you are freezing it.

3. Once the soup is cool pour it into the freezer bag. Make sure you seal the bag tightly so no soup spills out.

4. Now lay the bag of soup flat on a cookie sheet. Place the cookie sheet with the bag of soup on it into the freezer.

5. Allow the bag of soup to freeze overnight. It will freeze flat in the bag.

6. Remove the cookie sheet from the freezer and place the frozen bag of soup back in the freezer. Since the bag of soup has frozen flat it will not take up much room in the freezer.

Tips & Warnings

• Always use a freezer back NOT a storage bag.
