Some people seem to reach a new goal with ease and never look back because they are on their way to reaching another goal. Maybe these people have a special secret that they do not share with others. Just saying you want to do something or reach a new weight goal is not the key to actually reaching that goal. According to many who reach their goals easily it involves a few key steps that must be followed. So, if you are like many who often fall short of reaching a weight goal here are steps to set and achieve that new weight goal.

    Be Specific. Many of us set goals without actually being very specific. For example, instead of saying you want to lose weight state that you are going to reduce calories consumed per day.

  2. Step 2

    Measured. The goal should be one that is easily measured. You can't know if you are winning the race if the goal cannot be measured. State something like you are only going to consume 1,000 calories per day to lose 10 pounds.

  3. Step 3

    Deadlines Count. Another way to insure reaching a goal is to establish a deadline because this make the goal real and not an imaginary idea. For example, you've established you would like to lose 10 pounds by consuming 1,000 calories per day. Establish a deadline. For example, within 10 days. Following these goal setting ideas helps to keep motivation high and know if weight goals are on target.
