Step 1
Taste is the most important thing we go for when we bar-b-que so that is what we are going to do first is to find the flavor we want. Get all your herbs and seasonings out of the cupboard and put them in front of you. Of these herbs and seasonings, get the ones you like and put some in a separate bowl. Keep tasting to get the flavor you desire. This is called a dry rub. If you just like plain bar-b-que sauce then use your favorite brand.
-
Step 2
Always wash your meat before cooking, so by saying this rinse off the cut of meat you want to cook. Put the rinsed meat in a good sized pan for cooking in the oven.
-
Step 3
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
-
Step 4
Now take your dry rub, or bar-b-que sauce and pour on your meat, all sides and let set for about 5 minutes or until the oven is heated.
-
Step 5
When oven is heated put the meat in the oven and set timer. A good guideline to go by is heat 350 degrees for 1 hour per pound.
-
Step 6
Now here is the most important step (In my opinion). Get some honey, preferably raw and pour on top of the meat about 5 minutes before the timer goes off. Set the temperature gauge to broil and but the meat under the broiler. This give you that sticky bar-b-que flavor.
