Make Natural Cellulite Cream

According to some sources, cellulite affects between 90 to 95% of women over the age of 30. Unfortunately, there is no magic potion to get rid of it, but you can minimize its appearance with a good diet, exercise, cosmetic procedures, and regular massage.

Below is a good recipe for natural cellulite cream, which you can make at home and use daily when you massage the areas most prone to cellulite like the inner thigh and tummy.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 ounce Cocoa Butter
  • 3 tablespoons Almond Oil
  • 1/2 ounce Beeswax
  • 10 drops Lemon Essential Oil
  • 15 drops Juniper Essential Oil
  1. Step 1

Put a 1/2 ounce of cocoa butter and a 1/2 ounce of beeswax in a microwave safe bowl. Set your microwave to 50% power and microwave this in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until it is completely melted.

  2. Step 2

Add 3 tablespoons of almond oil. If you like a thinner cream, you may use 1 additional tablespoon, while a thicker cream or body butter would use 1 tablespoon less.

If you prefer, you can substitute avocado or jojoba oil. Do not use olive oil, though, since olive oil has a tendency to spoil more quickly than other oils.

  3. Step 3

Add 10 drops of lemon essential oil, and 15 drops of juniper essential oil. Mix well.

The scent will be herbal and fresh. These oils are selected for multiple reasons, but mostly because of their purported fat burning, healing, and diuretic properties.

  4. Step 4

Store this oil in a sealed container, away from temperature extremes. It is best if you use it within a month, since it includes no preservatives, although the ingredients themselves tend to last a long time.

Tips & Warnings
  • Before you use this or any other preparation which includes essential oils, do a patch test. Put a small amount of the cream on your skin, and wait 24 hours to ensure that you are not allergic to any ingredients.
