1
Choose your fruit...
Decide which fruits you want to use. Maybe you want to stick with all one thing--say strawberries....or maybe you want all of one color--say red... Either way, decide what fruit you want to use and get it ready...
Wash your chosen fruit. If you're using small fruits that don't require peeling like strawberries, grapes, blueberries or raspberries...simply wash and pat dry. If you're using fruit that needs cut up, try cubing into different shapes or use a melon ball scoop to make round spheres.

Choose a container...
Decide what container you want your arrangement placed in....
If your vase is short, you will want to trim your skewers to the appropriate length. You can do this with snippers. Simply decide where you want to cut, and snip off the extra length.**Use common sense here, be cautious of flying pieces of wood--you might want to wear safety goggles.

3
Skewer your fruit....
Simply slide the fruit onto the end of the skewer without letting the skewer poke out the other end of the fruit. For strawberries, I like to leave the leaves on and pierce through that side (like a 'rose')...
Repeat with all pieces of your fruit.

Arrange skewers fruit side up in your chosen vase.
Refrigerate until time for serving.

Tips & Warnings
Try using a "frogger" if you wish...it is one of those disks with holes through it used by florists to help arrange flowers.
Spear marshmallows and include them in your fruit arrangement...
Starfruit makes a great choice for these arrangements!
Partially dip fruits, like strawberries, into chocolate and let harden before adding in your arrangments to add some variation.
