How to Dry Lasagna Noodles

Dry noodles are convenient to buy and easy to store. Yet homemade noodles can transform an ordinary pasta dinner into a gourmet meal. When you make your own lasagna noodles, you can embellish the recipe with additional seasoning to add a unique flavor to your lasagna. Instructions

      Leave freshly shaped lasagna noodles uncovered for about five minutes, to allow them to firm up and dry.

      Cover the pasta with plastic wrap if you do not intend to use it immediately, but do intend to use it within a day.

      Skip Step 2 if you don't intend to use the lasagna until the next day or longer. Let the pasta sit uncovered, at room temperature, for three to four hours.

      Place the dried lasagna noodles in a freezer bag and store in the refrigerator for up to a week, or in the freezer for up to a month.
