How to Clean Scuff Marks on a Shower Wall
Scuff marks are annoying, black smudges that can mar almost any surface, including your shower wall. They most likely got there as repairs were done in the shower and someone with shoes had to step in. Although warm soap and water may not be enough to remove them, they are quite easy to banish with the help of toothpaste. Use a paper towel to lightly blot the scuff mark, making sure that the area is completely dry. Apply a glob of toothpaste so it completely covers the scuff mark.

Use the scrubby side of a textured sponge to firmly wipe the toothpaste into the scuff, making small circles with your motions. Continue until the scuff mark begins to flake away and then disappear.

Dip a few paper towels into warm water and gently wipe away all the toothpaste, which will now be mixed with the dead scuff mark. Remove all of the residue so the wall is not sticky later.

If the scuff mark is especially stubborn, substitute a hard-bristled cleaning brush for the textured sponge.
