How to Create an Apple I.D. for iTunes

Users of Apple-branded electronics such as iPods and MacBooks will eventually find a need to create an Apple ID. This is a unique username that allows you to sign into Apple websites and programs that are linked to your specific electronics and account information. With the Apple ID you will be able to make purchases through iTunes, change personal preferences and even get technical support for your purchased Apple items.

You will be prompted to create a username for your ID. This is a unique name, similar to when you picked an email address, and should be something that you can remember easily. Additionally it cannot be taken by another user already. If it is you will be asked to pick a different username. You will also be asked to create a password that you'll use to sign into the account.
