How to Apply the Currency Format Without Using the Toolbar in Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel is spreadsheet software that's part of the Microsoft Office suite that includes Word, Access and PowerPoint applications. Excel can help take a large amount of raw data and let you process, analyze and present it in a comprehensible format. If your data is in the form of dollars and cents, Excel lets you change the format of spreadsheet cells into a currency format. You can either use the toolbars to apply the currency format or the right-click function of a computer mouse.
