Things You'll Need:
- High-pressure water pump
- Cleaning wand
- Pressure fittings
- Crescent wrench
-
Step 1
Attach a garden hose to the inlet port on the high-pressure water jet machine, and turn the water on.
-
Step 2
Select the type of spray fitting that best meets the surface you are cleaning. Use the crescent wrench to attach it to the end of the spray wand by turning the fitting clockwise.
-
Step 3
Move the start lever to the "start" position.
-
Step 4
Grab the pull rope by the handle, and pull hard. You may need to pull several times before the machine starts.
-
Step 5
Hold the spray wand firmly, and aim the wand at the surface to be cleaned, then pull and hold the trigger located on the spray wand.
-
Step 6
Keep the wand about three to four feet away from the surface, and work in sections. Use a side-to side motion, and don't spend too much time on one area, especially if you are washing a painted surface.
-
Step 7
Turn the water off, and pull the trigger on the wand handle to release residual pressure when you are finished.
-
Step 8
Pull the start lever to the "off" position to stop the machine.
-
Step 9
Use your crescent wrench to change the spray fittings as needed for the job you are doing.
