Instructions

    • 1

Clamp the sanding belt to your workbench with the sander-side facing up. If you don't have a workbench, clamp the sanding belt to the sturdiest table available to you.

    • 2

      Turn on the sanding belt.

    • 3

Take the side of the belt-cleaning stick that looks like a large pencil eraser and press it gently against the moving portion of the sanding belt.

    • 4

Gently move the belt-cleaning stick from side to side on the moving portion of the sanding belt.

    • 5

Remove the belt-cleaning stick once the wood dust has been removed from the sanding belt.

    • 6

Turn off the sanding belt and un-clamp it from the workbench.

Tips & Warnings

  • The flat rubbery sole of an old shoe can also be used in place of belt-cleaning stick.

  • Do not touch the moving portion of the belt sander with your hand while it is on.
