How to Release and Renew Your Computer's IP Address
If you hook up a new computer, a new hard drive or a reformatted hard drive to your modem, you will likely need to release and renew the IP address to get an Internet connection. If you see the error "Limited or No Connectivity" or "Network Cable Unplugged" (and your Ethernet or USB cable is not unplugged), then you need to renew your IP address to get on the Internet.
