Keep track of monthly bills by making your own budget worksheet using a template you can make yourself. This budget template is versatile for paying bills, organizing, and tracking all your monthly finances on one simple worksheet.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Budget Software or Spreadsheet Program
  • Paper
  • Printer
  • monthly bill records
  1. Step 1

First download a worksheet template online or create one using a spreadsheet program like excel to budget your monthly bills.

  2. Step 2

Next decide on a schedule for your budget worksheet template depending on how you pay your bills monthly.

  3. Step 3

You may want to set up your budget worksheet to pay your bills according to their due date or lump them together once or twice a month depending on your pay schedules.

  4. Step 4

Next list all your monthly earnings on your budget worksheet template including salary, commissions, bonuses, real estate or investment income, and any family business earnings.

  5. Step 5

Then type in any monthly bills on your budget worksheet according to due date and priority.

  6. Step 6

Start with must pay bills to budget first and list them on your template monthly by due date.

  7. Step 7

Then list needs such as groceries, utilities, supplies, fuel, etc. and fit them into your monthly worksheet according to your balance dues and pay periods.

  8. Step 8

Then make two column headings at the top of your worksheet template listed Projected monthly bills and Actual Monthly bills.

  9. Step 9

Enter your monthly bills in your Projected budget column first and subtract from your income to get your balance.

  10. Step 10

Lastly make budget adjustments to your worksheet template where necessary before entering your true monthly bills into your Actual column.
