It is for this reason that the steps that you usually take to eliminate dry skin will not cut it when you are up against the cold winds of winter. There is hope. By following these simple steps, you will be able to eliminate dry skin this winter.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Add healthy fats back into your diet to eliminate dry skin. Many people have tried to go completely fat free in their living to be healthier. This can backfire on them when it comes to their skin. Oils and fats are needed in the diet to keep skin looking its best. Some oils to include would be olive oil and the fats that are in nuts and avocados.

  2. Step 2

Shower or bathe every other dry to help your skin to look its best. This may seem contrary to what you are trying to do, but showering too often can actually dry out your skin. To help eliminate dry skin, you can go on the two to three day bathing cycle to minimize this effect.

  3. Step 3

Take a bath with baby oil in it once a week to help get rid of dry skin. Baby oil is a great moisturizer that most people do not think of. It is gentle on the skin because it is formulated for babies. A couple of squirts in your next bath and your skin will look great.

  4. Step 4

Apply an intensive cream moisturizer on your skin in the morning and in the night. Cream is a better moisturizer then a lotion. It will help to hydrate the skin and keep the dry skin at bay. Do not focus on the scent of the moisturizer that you use. The more important thing to look at is how moisturizing it is.
