Things You'll Need:
- A stranger
-
Step 1
The goal is to say their name 3 times in the first 3 minutes you meet them. To do that, follow these easy steps.
-
Step 2
Introduce yourself. Possible ways are: "Hi, my name is Bob, what is your name?" Or "Hi, I'm Bob." This second way leaves it open for them to state their name.
-
Step 3
The person will say their name in response. Right after they do, this is what you say: "Larry (their name), it is nice to meet you." This is critical to say this immediately.
-
Step 4
After you say the above, ask them where they are from. "So Larry, where are you from." Remember, the point is to say their name again. Saying their name will lock it into your memory.
-
Step 5
You've said their name twice, and now it is time for the kicker. At this point you can use any question as long as it has their name in it. Or if at this point you are already leaving the conversation, say their name in a farwell.
