How to detect hardware keyloggers
-
1
Look at the back of your computer tower or CPU. Your keyboard cable should be plugged directly into the computer port, with nothing in-between. If there is something that looks like an adapter between the two, it is very likely a USB keylogger, and it is being used to spy on your and your information. If you see a keylogger on your system do not disconnect it yet.

2
Shut down your computer system immediately. Disconnecting the USB keylogger while your system is running may crash your system.

Disconnect the keylogger and reconnect your keyboard cable to the computer. Once you have disconnected the adapter from your keyboard USB cord, you can reconnect your keyboard to your computer.

Tips & Warnings
Though hardware keyloggers are quite easily removed, consider that someone had to have physical access to your computer to install the USB keylogger.
Turn off your computer before disconnecting or reconnecting any cables.
