How to Repair Your Java
Having Java installed on your computer is an integral part of the web browsing experience. It enables you to watch videos, play games and even enter chat rooms all from within the comforts of your web browser. If Java begins to act up and these elements are not displaying properly, all is not lost. You can quickly and easily repair your Java installation and get these web elements back up and running again.

In Windows XP, click Start > Control Panel > Settings.
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, click Start > Control Panel. -

Click "Add or Remove Programs" if you are using Windows XP or earlier. If you are using Windows 7 or Windows Vista, select "Programs and Features."

Scroll down the list of installed programs until you reach the listing for Java. Click on it once to select it.

Click on the "Change" button if you are using Windows 7 or Windows Vista. If you are using Windows XP or earlier, this will be called the "Repair" button.

Follow the directions on screen to install a fresh copy of Java over top of your existing copy. This will repair your installation, at which point Java will work properly in your web browser once again.
