1
Choose a gift with the birthday boy's or girl's birthstone; the traditional stone for June is the alexandrite, the modern stone is the pearl and the mystical stone is the moonstone.
-
2
Send a bouquet of roses, June's flower, or give a miniature rosebush to be planted.

3
Consider that the astrological sign of those born on May 22 through June 21 is Gemini, while the sign of those born on June 22 through July 22 is Cancer. Geminis are said to be curious and talkative, while Cancers are often considered more caring and compassionate; you may wish to choose gifts according to the recipient's astrological sign or horoscope.

4
Celebrate a child's birthday while celebrating the beginning of summer. For example, take the birthday boy or girl out to the beach or an amusement park.
-
5
Take the whole family out to a picnic, ballgame or other family-favorite outing to celebrate the birthday of a family member in conjunction with Father's Day, June 18.

How about focusing on their interests instead of the month they were born. When I was younger I wouldn't care for birthstone things, and getting a towel for a present was not something I was super excited about. Now that I am older I would still enjoy something pertaining to my interests more then something with my birthstone. I enjoy gifts with thought put into them, and when someone hands me a teddy bear with a birthstone ring it looks like they stopped over at the drug store before they came to my party! Plus I hate pearls. Ugh! Anyway, Happy Birthday June people! I'll be celebrating my own in 14 more days. -

My birthday is in June and I've always wanted a water trampoline since I live on a lake. That would be a great present. Gift certificates for his/her favorite stores for back to school shopping are good, too. -

You may just want to give the birthday boy/girl some money, to buy a suit or something. But if you want to, buy maybe a beach towel or beach ball or something they are interested in. A child may want some colorful sunscreen or something in that category. -

My dad got me a clam rake one year for my June birthday. I didn't like it. -

Why not consider a gift that's useful for the season? Sarongs, shorts, visors, beach towels, etc.
