1
Choose gift wrapping paper according to the baby's gender, specific interests or the baby shower's theme. Buy traditional blue or pink wrapping paper, paper featuring rubber ducks or frogs, or get creative by choosing alternative wraps such as vintage maps, posters and magazine covers.

2
Using a roll of tape and scissors to neatly wrap your gift in the chosen paper. If the gift is an odd, hard-to-wrap shape, consider placing it in a piece of tissue paper and a colorful gift bag instead.

Enhance your wrapped gift with a ribbon or bow. For a baby girl, choose an iridescent pink ribbon; wrap the ribbon around the gift, knot it at the top, and curl the loose ribbon strips using your scissors. If you are giving a gift to a baby boy, wrap the present in a vibrant green, blue and yellow grosgrain ribbon. Use festive ribbons for holiday gifts, such as a black ribbon featuring white spiderwebs for Halloween.

As a creative touch, tie a charm or small toy to the end of the ribbon. Use a pacifier, a tiny stuffed teddy bear or a baby bottle replica. Like the ribbon, you can also choose items that represent specific holidays, such as a small stuffed rabbit for Easter.

Attach a gift tag to the present. You can tie a tag onto the ribbon using string, or place a sticker tag directly onto the gift.
