How to Clean Kitchen Cabinet Handles

Dirt and oils can find their way onto kitchen cabinet handles simply from hands that open and close the cabinet on a daily basis. Since the cabinet handles are a visible part of your kitchen, you will want to clean these handles from time to time. Unscrewing the kitchen cabinet handles in order to wash them is not necessary. Using household items, you can safely and effectively remove grime from your kitchen cabinet handles in minutes.

Things You'll Need

• Spray bottle
• White vinegar
• Water
• Lemon juice
• Dish cloths

Instructions

1. Mix equal parts of cold water and distilled white vinegar in the spray bottle.

2. Put one tablespoon of lemon juice into the bottle.

3. Shake the spray bottle to mix the three ingredients.

4. Spray the dish cloth so that it becomes fairly moist.

5. Wipe the entire kitchen cabinet handle. Be sure to wipe the small part that connects the handle to the cabinet, as well.

6. Wipe the kitchen cabinet handle with a dry cloth.

7. Inspect the handle and repeat the process if necessary.

Tips & Warnings

• If you're having problems removing dirt from the kitchen cabinet handles, you can also add a tablespoon of liquid dish soap to the cleaning solution. Be sure that there is no bleach in the dish soap, however, or you could risk staining the handles. If you use soap, rinse with clear water.
