How to Clean Up Painter Art Acrylic Paints Easily
Acrylic paints are used for paintings, stencils, or decorating surfaces such as wooden furniture. During the execution of a project with acrylic paints, chances are that paint will need to be cleaned up. Paint could be spilled or splattered, and the acrylic paint will need to be cleaned off the brushes immediately after using. Learning the proper way to clean up acrylic paints will make your brushes last longer and keep your workspace free from paint stains.

Make a mixture of liquid soap and warm water in a cup. Use one part soap to three parts water.

Dampen a rag in the mixture in the cup.

Place the brushes---bristles down---in the cup.

Use the damp rag to clean up any surfaces that have been splattered by paint. Apply a small amount of pressure in a circular motion.

Take the brushes out of the cup and rub the bristles gently with your thumb and pointer finger to remove the paint. Start at where the bristles are connected to the brush, and move the paint out to the tip and off of the bristles.

Rinse the brushes in warm water.

Tips & Warnings
Run the brushes under warm running water if the paint is resisting after soaking.
Remove the paint before it dries.
Wet any dried acrylic paint with a sponge and use a scraper to remove.
