Halloween Candy

The house is quiet and the kids are in bed and you could swear the Halloween candy is calling your name. Before you know it, you are surrounded by empty candy wrappers and you feel sick to your stomach. Here are some tips on how to keep from getting sick from Halloween candy.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

As soon as the candy comes into the house, put it away. Out of sight and out of mind might be all that you need. Get a stool and put it way up high and then put the stool in the garage so that you have to go get the stool every time you want to get to the candy.

  2. Step 2

Decide before hand to only eat 4 pieces of candy at one sitting. Decide what 4 pieces you want and then put the rest of the candy away. This can take a lot of self-control.

  3. Step 3

If you decide to have some candy, drink a glass of water before hand. It will fill you up. You can also drink a glass of milk while you are eating the candy which will help fill you up.

  4. Step 4

Have your kids hide the candy from you and tell them under no circumstances are they to tell you where it is, or if you ask they can only give you two pieces at a time. This can put a lot of pressure on your kids, so proceed with caution, with this one.

  5. Step 5

Trade the candy for cash. Offer your kids x number of dollars for their candy and then get rid of the candy by taking it to a senior center, your job or some dentist offices will give you cash for the candy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you tell your kids first, you don't want to sneak off with the candy and donate it.

on 10/31/2009 Great idea, except when it came time to donate it I would probably donate it to myself, but then that brings us back where we started. Self control is not one of my finer points.
