How To Put Flowers in Trumpet Vases

Trumpet vases are actually quite helpful when arranging flowers because the shape of the vase opening makes it easy for flowers to naturally fall in an attractive position. Instructions

    • 1

Separate the flowers into two piles, with one pile slightly larger than the other. Take the larger pile and bind the flowers together with a rubber band. Make sure the rubber band isn't too tight and is only loosely holding the bouquet together.

    • 2

Insert the banded bouquet into the vase, holding it steady in the very middle and leaving about a half inch of open space all around it. If the flowers take up all the free space, undo the rubber band and remove a few flowers until the bouquet is the right size.

    • 3

While holding the banded bouquet in place, use the other hand to insert individual flowers from the smaller pile into the free space around the other flowers. Turn and arrange each flower so that it faces outward, away from the middle bouquet around the circumference of the vase. Repeat until all the free space is filled and you no longer need to use your hand to hold the middle flowers in place.

Tie a long ribbon into a bow around the curve of the trumpet vase to top off the beautiful look.
