How to Convert MIDI Files to Music Score
A MIDI file contains all the information required for any synthesizer to play a particular song or musical passage. MIDI files differ from other music files because they do not store the actual sounds of musical instruments. Instead, MIDI files save the pitch and timing information in a manner very similar to a music score. This allows a MIDI file to be easily converted to a full music score. Guitar Pro software has an import function that allows users to very easily perform this conversion.

Open Guitar Pro.

Go to the File menu, and place the mouse pointer over "Import." A side menu will appear.

Select "MIDI" from the Import side menu.

Open the MIDI file that you want to convert to a music score. The MIDI Import window will appear after you open the file.

Click on the "Import!" button in the MIDI Import window. The MIDI file will be converted to a music score.
