How to Uninstall Bearshare

BearShear is a file-sharing program that users use to download different types of content such as music, videos, pictures, and applications over a shared network. It allows users to download files from each other-a system known as "peer-to-peer file-sharing." You can remove BearShare from your computer if it is running into errors or if you do not want. This removal process is simple and frees up system resources on your computer.

Instructions

1. Close BearShare if you are currently using it. To close it, click "File" on the main panel and click "Exit."

2. Click the Windows "Start" button and click the "Control Panel." For Windows XP users, access the programs window by double-clicking the "Add or Remove Features" icon. For Windows Vista users, access the programs window by clicking "Program and Features" and clicking "Uninstall a Program".

3. Scroll down the programs window and click "BearShare" and click "Remove/Uninstall." Additionally remove the BearShare MediaBar by clicking it on the programs window and clicking "Remove/Uninstall."

4. Remove the BearShare folder. This is not a mandatory step, but is advisable. To remove the BearShare folder, double-click "My Computer" on the desktop and double-click the "C:" drive."

5. Double-click the "Program Files" folder. Scroll through and locate the BearShare folder. Right-click it and click "Delete."

6. Empty the Recycle Bin and relaunch your web browser to complete the removal process.
