If you use a Tablet PC or share your computer, you may encounter times when you need to rotate movie files while showing slide shows in PowerPoint. For Tablet PCs, the show may display in its original screen (landscape) orientation as opposed to portrait. If your desktop computer has multiple users, settings may have been modified during a remote session. To adjust movie files the way you want, then, try a couple of quick resolutions.
Open the presentation in PowerPoint and then go to the "Slide Show" menu. Click "Set Up Show." If you are using PowerPoint version 2007, go to the tab marked "Slide Show" and then click "Set Up Slide Show."
Click the best-suited screen resolution corresponding to the Tablet PC.
Click "OK." If this does not rotate your screen, proceed to step 4.
Close the remote session window and then reopen it. Note: This only applies if your Tablet PC is on a shared network and a remote user changes the orientation of your screen.
