    • 1

Take medication to alleviate any pressure building up from congestion. Take an antihistamine if you have congestion from allergies. Take a decongestant if you are experiencing pressure throughout the head, particularly in the ears and sinus cavities. Combine the antihistamine and decongestant, if needed, to assist the body in reducing the swelling in the ear due to congestion.

    • 2

Use anti-inflammatory pain reliever to assist with alleviating any pain while reducing inflammation that may be causing the pressure build up in the ear canal. Take aspirin, ibuprofen, ketoprofen or naproxen to effectively relieve pain and reduce inflammation at the same time.

    • 3

Use hydrogen peroxide to loosen any excess wax and other debris. Lie on your side. Have a friend pour peroxide into your ear and let it fill up. Let it sit in the ear for one minute. Turn over and dump out the peroxide in the ear. Repeat on the other side and continue this routine daily until the ear pressure is relieved.
