How Do I Get Out of US Citizenship to Enter a Different Country?
Renouncing United States citizenship is a serious act, but may be required to enter a different country or receive a foreign citizenship. The act of renunciation must be performed in front of a consular officer or official in a foreign country and be accompanied by a verbal testimony and a signed oath of renunciation. Renouncing US citizenship is a permanent act and should not be undertaken lightly, as it cannot be reversed.
