Things You'll Need:
- vitamins
- salt water warm
- Listerine
- hand sanitizer
-
Step 1
Viruses under a high powered microscopeIn a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions.
Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.
While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms
and development of secondary infections, some very simple
steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be
practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu): -
Step 2
First some commonsense practices and already broadcasted prevention techniques then some natural approaches to rid bacteria, germs and viruses and raise your immune system.
Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).
Handwashing a alone simply washes the germs or virus from your hands and flushes them down the drain. Alcohol based handsanitizer 60% ehtybol alcohol and above will actually kill the germs or virus on your hands. -
Step 3
"Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any
part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap). But please wash your hands then use alcohol based hand sanitizer. -
Step 4
*Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust
salt)... *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal
cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling
prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same
effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't
underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method. -
Step 5
Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.*
-
Step 6
*Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C
Amla and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin
C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.
When is a vitamin not a Vitamin? When it's vitamin D. HAHA Vitmain D is actually a steroid hormone in your body. We are all aware of how our skin contains a form of cholesterol. The sun UV rays converts this in a presursor of vitamin D. This is then converted into the storahe form of vitamin D by our liver. Anyway supplemented with vitamin D is a powerful way to boost your bodies natural defense against viruses and many other diseases like cancer. Read more below under tips and warners. Vitamin D can be toxic if taken in to heavy doses for an extended period of time. -
Step 7
Drink warm liquids as much as you can.
Warm liquids have the same effects as gargling. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive.
Of course the best prevention is the vaccines and sanitizing with proper handwashes and cleaning products. -
Step 8
None of this replaces your doctors medical advise. This how to tips article is not medical advise. Please consult your doctor immediately if feeling ill chances are the virus has already entered your system. These stay health tips are intended as a prevenative not a treatment nor a cure for the h1n1 swine flu, regular seanla flu or any virus you may of been exposed to.
